IAM Family Ministries is a fully registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization most of the funds in 2017 financial year 91% was spent on programs which benefit children, families and communities. To give you a high level view of how our organization works, all of the US board members are volunteers with full time jobs outside of the ministry. We do not have any paid US employees for the year 2017. We like every other organization, have administrative overhead but we try to keep that at 9% or lower. Everything else goes into programs in IAM Family Uganda Ministry. We file this information with the state of Washington annually.
All funds or donations received through our ministry we make sure it is used for the right purpose. Good stewardship of God’s gifts is of the utmost importance at IAM family ministries, and transparency with our finances keeps us accountable to you.
We seek to conduct our activities with the highest standards of integrity and to avoid conflicts of interest. Because we believe that it is God’s place to prompt a response to our fund-raising appeals, we shun high-pressure or manipulative fund-raising tactics.
Contributions to the ministry are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. In order to help our donors, determine the tax-deductible portion of their gifts, we receipt all donations showing the fair market value of any goods or services provided to the donor.
We are governed by a responsible Board of Directors, the majority of whom are not staff members. Our Board meets to establish policies, approve budgets, and review operational results and ministry accomplishments.
