Accountability

I AM Family Ministries is a fully registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated in the state of Washington. All of our American board members and staff serve as volunteers. In Uganda and Rwanda, our ministry work includes supporting/educating our children, providing for their medical care, providing food for their families, supporting the orphanage, our school and other ministries, as well as some administrative overhead. We strive to keep the overhead portion of our expenses absolutely as low as possible. Specific expenses vary each year, and the details are clearly shared in our annual reports, available below.
Good stewardship of God’s gifts is of the utmost importance at I AM Family Ministries, and transparency with our finances keeps us accountable to you as well as God. All funds or donations received into our ministry are used in support of our Mission.
We seek to conduct our activities with the highest standards of integrity and to avoid conflicts of interest. Because we believe that it is God’s place to prompt a response to our fund-raising appeals, we shun high-pressure or manipulative fund-raising tactics.
Contributions to the ministry are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. To help our donors determine the tax-deductible portion of their gifts, we receipt all donations showing the fair market value of any goods or services provided to the donor.
I AM Family Ministries is governed by a responsible Board of Directors composed of spiritually mature Christians with diverse backgrounds and abilities. Our Board of predominantly independent members meets regularly to establish future direction and policies, approve budgets, and review operational results and ministry accomplishments.
